Laura G. Leahy is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. An honors graduate of Duke University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Drexel University, Dr. Leahy has practiced as a board-certified child/adolescent, adult psychiatric and addictions advanced practice nurse for over 30 years. Dr. Leahy maintains specialization as a master clinician in psychopharmacology and is a leader in addiction nursing. She is the nursing lead mentor for the Providers Clinical Support Systems, and she also co-chairs the American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s addictions council and steering committee. Dr. Leahy has been awarded many nursing honors and is widely published and known nationally for her speaking engagements.
